All To Play For Games Media Unveils SWP Update
Improved gaming content and a new state of the art SWP cabinet are just two of the benefits
awaiting Games Media customers this autumn.
Pub company operators and their licensees will be able to access a content update for digital
SWP machines, such as the IND:E and Fatbox terminals, from next month.
Improved games include Monopoly Hot Property, Deal or No Deal and Connect Four, which now
allows users to compete with their friends through a £1 multiplayer option. The update also
features the brand new Heads Up Texas Hold’Em Poker title, a skill based interpretation of
poker designed to satisfy the ever increasing consumer demand for this highly popular game.
Mark Purdy, sales manager for Games Media, said: “Delivery of the latest content with broad
player appeal is essential for the future of gaming and entertainment in pubs.
“Our new content suite for SWP machines combines cutting edge games developed by our
in house team with exclusive licensed titles from leading development partners and keeps
Games Media at the forefront of digital gaming in the pub retail sector.”
Now in its final stages of development, Games Media is also gearing up for the launch of a
hotly anticipated new SWP terminal, IND:E 2.
Housed in a stylish cabinet with a high resolution touch screen, IND:E II will host an impressive
32 game menu, double the amount featured on the current IND:E model. Games Media’s
updated games content will be pre-loaded onto all terminals supplied.
Games Media is a wholly owned subsidiary of Scientific Games and specialises in the design,
supply and publishing of pay to play payout content for managed and tenanted pub retailers.
The business is spearheading the transition from traditional analogue gaming products into digital based interactive solutions.

GAMES MEDIA STRENGTHENS SKILLS WITH PRIZES OFFER
Games Media, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation [Nasdaq: SGMS],
has unveiled the latest gaming content for its range of Skill with Prizes (SWP) terminals.
The update includes two completely new releases for Games Media customers: Frogger Hop
Trivia, a quiz based version of the classic arcade game, and Are You Smarter
Than A 10 Year Old which takes its format from the popular Sky One TV game show hosted
by Noel Edmonds. ”
Both games are multi-stake, with 50p and £1 play options, while the maximum prize is £50
Also featuring in the update are enhanced, longer play versions of the popular titles Monopoly
Hot Property, Triple Towers Solitaire and Riverboat Solitaire. Each is a £1-stake game, again
with a maximum prize of £50.
Mark Purdy, Sales Manager for Games Media, said: “This update combines best-ever versions of
some of our most established and successful SWP titles with innovative new content to add yet
more player choice to our IND:E and IND:E II gaming terminals
“In particular we are pleased to add to the overall number of SWP games available with a £1-stake
option. We recently carried out extensive trials with £1-games and saw cashbox revenues increase
significantly, so maximising the availability of these games to our pub retail customers and machine
operators is a real priority for us.”
As well as offering improved content, Games Media is continuing its ‘Bonus’ credits promotion,
whereby customers purchasing either a smartcard or new IND:E II terminal will receive the
equivalent of £45 worth of additional free credits pre-programmed.
Every IND:E II terminal purchased from Games Media’s exclusive distributor Crown Direct also
includes a free point-of-sale pack containing beer mats, posters and table toppers designed
specifically to help promote the new update and maximise cashbox revenues.

menu, ergonomic design and high resolution touch screen.

The Beautiful Game Looking Good In The Pub
LONDON – 28 June, 2010
The nation’s great summer of sport is coming off the pitch and into the pub courtesy of
Games Media. The company’s latest VAWP game is called Cash Cup, Road to Glory and
available exclusively on the JU!CE fruit machine.
Cash Cup has a fun football theme and a range of innovative features designed to bring
that theme alive for players. These include a Penalty Shootout bonus game where players
must shoot a ball at an on-screen target to reveal a prize.
Rick Mountney, Games Media’s group development director, said: “Cash Cup has been
designed by our in house development team to build on the popularity of the World Cup,
a major business driver for pubs this summer.
“It is an event that is generating interest across the country, so a title with an array of fun
football themed features and bonus games should go down extremely well. This flexibility
to prepare and upload exclusive seasonal content also highlights a key benefit of operating
a multigame system on a digital platform such as JU!CE.”
Cash Cup has adjustable stakes from 25p up to £1 per single game and five different win
lines over a set of five reels. Prizes can be exchanged in order to enter the game’s Cash Cup
feature, which is also unlocked by collecting five Cash Up symbols anywhere in the reels. Once
inside, the player must choose a number of cups and then decide whether to take their hidden
value as a prize or accept an offer for them.

Games Media Drives Machine Revenue With Ticket Out
LONDON – 15 October, 2009
More than 100 pubs are now fully utilising ‘ticket out’ machine technology instigated by digital gaming
supplier Games Media.
Pubs running the new payout system reportedly saw not only additional cashbox improvement comparable
to the uplift seen from the recent increase in stake and prize levels but also clear operational and marketing
advantages.
The ticket out solution replaces the traditional coin payout method by printing a ticket receipt once the
player decides to collect their prize. The receipt is then handed over at the bar in exchange for cash.
Ticket payout systems are widely used in the UK and overseas at betting shops, casinos and adult gaming
centres. Games Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation [NASDAQ: SGMS], is
pioneering the application in pubs via its video amusement with prizes (VAWP) terminal Juice and skill with
prize (SWP) terminal IND:E II.
The company plans to extend usage across its digital gaming estate, which totals around 2,500 terminals in
a mixture of local community pubs, premium food sites, town centre venues and destination pubs operated
by many of the industry’s leading leased, tenanted and managed pub companies.
It has already scheduled a programme of conversion which will see the number of installations increase by the
end of this year, then an accelerated rollout in 2010 to ensure full deployment of ticket out technology.
Andrew Ludlow, managing director of Games Media, said: “This is a significant development in how
machines are applied in the pub environment which is having a positive impact on income, in some cases
as much as a 35 per cent increase.
“Note usage among players is at an all time high and subsequently coin hopper starvation has become a real operational concern. For a machine to payout prizes its coin hopper must be kept to a minimum level and this
is reliant on the licensee refilling very regularly.

CLEAR SIGNPOSTING POINTS THE WAY TO IMPROVED MACHINE INCOME
LONDON – 26 May, 2010 –
Digital gaming specialist Games Media has devised a new, easier to navigate menu for its
video amusement with prizes (VAWP) machine Juice.
Launched following extensive customer and machine player research, the new menu splits all
Juice games into two distinct categories, Casino Games and Classic Games.
An additional Feature Game slot also heads up the menu, which can be used to promote the
most popular games and new releases.
The options greet players on arrival at the machine, directing them to the style of game they
most enjoy playing via touch screen navigation.
Games Media’s marketing director Christine Jinks said: “Regular players told us they were looking
for a simple way to find their preferred games, while new players wanted clear direction as to the
type of games available. Segmenting them into popular styles was the obvious solution.
“The chosen categories tap into what the majority of people want from a machine game – casino
style games with familiar themes and classic spinning reel games which boast an array of exciting
features for the more experienced player to enjoy.
“From the venue’s perspective, the ability to clearly flag up a regular feature game helps increase
awareness of their gaming offer. It can also be used in tandem with our tailored attract screens for
venues to encourage trial of a game the player might otherwise have bypassed.
“The beauty of our products is that we can regularly refresh them in terms of menus, content and
player messaging. This provides the very best gaming experience and allows us to attract new players
to pubs from other gaming markets.”
Recent VAWP game releases from Games Media include:
Casino Crazy, a current ‘Feature Game’ which has a fun casino theme. The game has three reels with
up to five win lines and the player can adjust their stake of play from 25p up to £1. The main feature
requires the player to move around the game board collecting chips for cash and bonuses.
• Based on the popular board game, BATTLESHIP is an exciting new title in the ‘Classic Game’ category
licensed by Hasbro. The game is packed full of fantastic features which are accessed after gaining a reel
win or by collecting three ‘Anchor’ symbols. The feature board offers the player cash shots, feature shots
and nudges as they move around. There are also two further features – Battleships and Cash for Splash
• which enhance the playing experience and create additional chances to win prizes.

Games Media Drives Digital Gaming Revenue With New £1 Stake SWP Games
Server based gaming operator Games Media, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games
Corporation [Nasdaq: SGMS], has successfully completed the trial of £1-stakes for skills with
prizes (SWP) games in its UK pub estate.
The company will now roll out the £1-game option to all its sales customers and pub company
partners, which include Enterprise Inns, Marston’s Pub Company, Marston’s Inns and Taverns,
Admiral Taverns, Greene King, the Spirit Group and the Orchid Group.
Games Media’s Head of Content Peter Swinden said: “We trialled a compendium of six SWP
games over a 12 week period and increased the stake from 50p to £1, allowing customers more
playtime in the game and therefore a greater chance of winning.
“From the licensee’s perspective, it not only increases their cashbox revenue but can also
potentially keep customers on site for longer.
“We found that the £1-games accounted for more than 30% of all games played during the
trial and were among the best performing titles across our entire content suite. In the first four
weeks alone we saw cashbox revenues increase by 10%.
“Due to the success of the trial we are pleased to announce that we will be rolling out the £1-stake
option to all our customer sites with SWP terminals, a decision which should appeal to pub goers
and licensees alike.
“Operators who have purchased Games Media terminals will also benefit from the £1-games and
this year’s first content update will include all the titles responsible for the cashbox uplift.”
Games Media is the leading provider of server based digital gaming and entertainment solutions
for the pub retail sector. Its SWP terminals, Indego and IND:E II, have touch screens with full 3D
graphics capability.
The £1-stake option is being added to all Gamed Media’s SWP games, which include the UK’s
number one title Monopoly Hot Property, Cluedo Murder in Mind, Crystal Maze, Heads Up Texas
Poker, Riverboat, Solitaire and Triple Towers.
Peter Swinden added: “We are the first gaming machine supplier to offer pubs this degree of choice,
further enhancing our reputation for innovation and full commitment to increasing the usage of next
generation digital gaming platforms.
“We are pleased to be able to support our customers in driving all important revenues with our turnkey
digital gaming solution.”

Ant And Dec Face Up To New Pub Gaming Machine
Games Media’s newest release will test the nerve and resolve of pub players when it hits the
market next month.
PokerFace is a fully licensed Category C gaming machine featuring TV presenters Ant and Dec.
The likeable Geordie duo fronted PokerFace when it ran as a Saturday night quiz show with
a £1 million jackpot on ITV1.
The PokerFace machine offers a slightly more modest £35 jackpot and is available now to
pre-order for delivery in November.
Games Media’s sales manager Mark Purdy said: “The machine performed exceptionally well
during testing and the longevity of the income it generated versus the original primary
machines was outstanding.
“As such PokerFace has been creating a lot of interest within the pub industry and retailers
will be eager to get their hands on it.”

10,000 Players Go Football Crazy For World Cup Sweepstake
LONDON – 28 June 2010
Not deterred by England’s poor performance, or the constant drone of the Vuvuzela, pub customers
across the country are relishing the opportunity to combine their love of football with machine gaming.
Games Media is running a national World Cup sweepstake via its JU!CE video amusement with prizes
(VAWP) machines, which culminates in a free prize draw at the end of the tournament.
An impressive 10,000 registrations were secured for the competition in the build up to the start of the
World Cup. Each participant has been assigned a World Cup nation at random and those holding
the eventual World Cup winner will go into a prize draw to win a holiday to one of the semi-finalist
countries.
Christine Jinks, Games Media’s marketing director, said: “The player response to the sweepstake has been tremendous and to achieve 10,000 registrations over a four week period from an estate with 1,800 JU!CE machines is a great result.
“The idea behind the promotion is to ensure that machines aren’t overlooked in pubs while the World Cup
is running, plus maximise the opportunity of footfall in venues and enhance the overall experience of
enjoying live football at your local.
“Players signed up for the sweepstake directly on the terminal, which is a first for us in terms of using
JU!CE for data capture purposes and means that we are able to communicate with the player via text
message throughout the tournament.
“We have been using texts to remind them about the machines in venue around key fixtures and inform
them about forthcoming game releases and their special features to drum up interest in new titles.
“Longer term this mechanic has tremendous potential, not just for us and our machine specific
promotional activity but for the host venue and how they market their products and customer offer.”
